Ryan Dwork is a music composer based out of NYC.

After graduating from The School of Visual Arts in 1999, Ryan began his musical career by playing local coffee houses and bars. Inspired by his musical heroes, The Ramones, Lou Reed, Television, The Clash, and Bob Dylan, Ryan began writing original guitar driven rock n roll.

From 2003-2008 Ryan was the lead singer, songwriter, and Guitarist for the Garage/Punk band THE BOROUGHS. The band released two official releases 2005’s ‘Ostrich’ EP and 2008’s ‘Boroughs’ LP to critical acclaim. During this time the band played to pack crowds at many of the best NYC clubs including CBGB’s, Lit, Luna lounge, The Delancey, and Pianos.

Ryan’s compositions with the Boroughs have been in several short and independent films.

‘SPINE’ is featured in the upcoming Reed Morano film ‘MEADOWLAND’ starring Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson, in theaters October 2015.

Since his time with The Boroughs, Ryan continued to compose original music which has recently culminated in his debut solo album – ‘PRIMITIVE DERIVATIVE.’ The LP consist of 10 original rock numbers that cover vast musical genres from Surf, Alternative, ShoeGaze, Punk, and 50’s rock.

The new album showcases Ryan’s ability as guitarist, bassist, vocals, composer, and producer.

Ryan is available to write, compose or play original music for Feature films, Television, and Commercial work.
